In practice the payment picture is clear-cut: the deposit runs through Bancontact or Bancontact Pay, and the payout runs to your bank account. Since March 2026 the Payconiq by Bancontact app is officially called Bancontact Pay. Bancontact is tied to virtually every Belgian debit card, with a minimum deposit that usually sits at €5.
The Bancontact Pay ceilings are €1500 per transaction and €2500 per day. What you deposit is there right away; on your account it usually appears after one to three banking days, on top of the processing time on the operator's side.
What is asked at registration
